Qualification : (I) A recognized medical qualification included In the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications Included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated In Section 13 (3) of the said Act); and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognised qualification equivalent thereto In the respective subject or allied discipline.
(iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification viz. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Essential for Non-Medical Candidates : (i) A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline and (II) A Doctorate degree from a recognised University in the respective subject or allied discipline.
Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table-I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India-"Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998."
Experience: (i) For the candidates possessing Doctor of Medicine (MD) / Masters of Surgery (MS)from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges: Three years teaching experience in the subject as Resident or Registrar or Demonstrator or Tutor in a recognized medical college either during the post-graduate course or after obtaining postgraduate degree In the subject. (ii) For the candidates possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or central Institutes where the no Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) course running: a) Three years teaching experience in the subject In a recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB) course or after possessing Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification. b) The concerned candidate would also require one year of additional teaching or research experience in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college after obtaining Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualification.
Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100/-

The venue was the Brijender Swarup Park, Kanpur and Panditji addressed a 70,000 strong gathering in Hindi in the presence of Pt.Gobind Ballabh Pant, Chief Minister Uttar Pradesh; Babu Jagjivan Ram, Union Labour Minister; Raj Kumari Amrit Kaur, Union Health Minister; Sh.Chandrabhan Gupt, Union Food Minister and Dr.C.L.Katial, the first Director General of ESIC.
