Job Description
Applications for the following posts of Assistant Professor and equivalent positions purely on Contract Basis @ Rs. 30,600/- PM fixed in the Pay Band of Rs 15600-39100 + 6000 AGP ( BP-15,600 + 6000 AGP + 150% of AGP) are invited initially for a period of one year extendable on year to year basis on the enclosed prescribed form.

Qualification: M.Sc./ M. Tech having qualified NET from UGC/ CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited by UGC in the concerned discipline.
1. Ph. D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
2. Evaluation of the Ph. D thesis by at least two external examiners;
3. Open Ph. D viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted;
4. Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in refereed Journal;
5. Candidate has made at least two presentations in conference/ seminars, based on Ph. D. work.
a) to e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/concerned Deans.
M.Sc./ M. Tech/MBA having qualified NET from UGC/ CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited UGC in the concerned discipline.
Note: For the candidates having Master's degree, NF'I' shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is Conducted.
6. B.V.Sc/B.V.Sc. & AH Degree, However in case of discipline of fisheries, the qualifications shall be B.Sc )Biology/Fisheries) or equivalent M.V.Sc./M.F.Sc./M.Sc. or its equivalent master's degree in the concerned subject.
7. The candidate must be registered with the State Vety. Council/ Vety. Council of India (This will not be applicable in case of discipline of Fisheries).
8. Qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC/CSIR/ ICAR/ ASRB or similar test accredited by UGC.

However, the application will be considered valid only if it is accompanied with prescribed fee of Rs. 1340/- (Rupees one thousand three hundred and forty only) for un-reserved category candidates and Rs. 340/- (Rupees three hundred and forty only) for reserved Category candidates (alongwith self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate) in the shape of Bank Draft payable at State Bank of India, HPAU, Palampur drawn in favour of the Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur HP.
