Minimum Qualifications: 1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks at Master degree level in the relevant subject or an equivalent grade in the 7 point scale with letter grades & F at the Master degree the concerned subject. 2.For the post of Assistant Professor in Information Technology one shou4 have good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grace at the Masters degree in computer Sci /Engineering or Information Technology, M.Sc. (IT), M.C.A.. M.E. (Computer Engineering), M. Tech ( computer Technology). 3.Candidates should have cleared the eligibility test NETISET for Asstt. Prof. conducted by UGC/CS IR/University recognized by UGC. However, candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University, Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree Regulation 2009) in the concerned subjects as incorporated in relevant Goa University Ordinance shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. In case candidates having passed the said eligibility test or possessing Ph.D. in the concerned subject are not available or not found suitable, candidates felling other conditions would be considered for appointment on purely temporary basis till the end of academic year. Reservation of posts: If suitable reserved category candidates from the State of Goa arc not eligible, candidates from unreserved category will be considered for appointment for one academic year only on Temporary/Contractual/Lecture basis and the candidates so appointed will have no legal right or claim on the said post next academic year.
Pay Scales : For the post of Assistant Professor pay scales is as prescribed by Goa University/UGC/Goa Government from time to time.

Murgaon Education Society was established in 1971 with the noble goal of providing educational facilities at Vasco-da-Gama and in other parts of Murgaon Taluka. It has been the endeavour of MES College to develop professional skills among its students by providing a select core of leadership qualities. The college has become over the years, a positive force for national and global development. The first educational institution set up by the Murgaon Education Society was the College of Arts and Commerce, which was established at Vasco-da-Gama in 1972. This was also the first composite Arts and Commerce College in the state of Goa to be affiliated to the University of Mumbai and then to Goa University. The college was shifted to its present Zuarinagar campus in June 1985.
