About Company
Carmel College for Women, a Christian college, was established in 1964 to fulfil the long felt need for an institute for higher learning for women in Goa. The site for the college was generously donated by Mrs. Thelma Da Costa Lourenco of Margao, whose dream of a women’s college has become a reality. The college is permanently affiliated to Goa University in the faculties of Arts, Science, and Commerce. It is managed by the Sisters of the Congregation of the Apostolic Carmel, a Roman Catholic Congregation.
