Assistant Professor (Mass Communication & Journalism)

No. of Posts : 10 (SC-1, ST-1, VJ(A)- 1, OBC-2, Open-5)

Qualification : 1) Good academic record as defined by concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. 2) Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET / SET. 3) Not with standing anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this clause 4.4.1, candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (Minimum standards and procedure for the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for requirement and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities /Colleges/ Institutions. 4) NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Physical Education

Qualification: 1) A Masters Degree in Physical Education or Masters Degree in Sports Science with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record. 2) Record of having represented the University/College at the Inter-University/ Inter-Collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championship. 3) Qualifying in the National level test conducted by the UGC or another agency approved by the UGC. 4) Passed the fitness test conducted in accordance with these Regulations. 5) However, Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards any procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities /Colleges/ Institutions.

Librarian Educational

Qualification: 1) A master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent Professional Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. 2) Qualifying in the National level test conducted by the UGC or another agency approved by the UGC. 3) However, Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards any procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Universities /Colleges/ Institutions.

Salary & Allowances :  (Pay Scale Rs. 15600-39100 + AGP Rs. 6000) Pay scales and other allowances as per the UGC, State Government & Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded rules from time to time.
