Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering)/ Assistant Professor (Electrical Engineering)job recruitment in Indian Maritime University on Direct recruitment.

Name of Post : Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering)

Qualification :

1. Good academic record with First Class (or an equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed) either in U.G or P.G level in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant subject from a recognized Indian University or from an accredited foreign University.

2. A pass in the Eligibility Test conducted by the Indian Maritime University.

Ph.D holders in a relevant discipline are exempted from passing the Eligibility test conducted by the IMU.

Desirable : Teaching, Research, Industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.

Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs.15600–39100 with AGP Rs.6000. Shall be eligible for the AGP of Rs.7,000 after completion of 6 years of service as Assistant Professor, subject to satisfactory performance. Shall be eligible for the AGP of Rs.8,000 after completion of 5 years of service at AGP of Rs.7,000, subject to satisfactory performance.

Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years. (Relaxable by Vice Chancellor up to 2 years in deserving cases).
