1. Nama of the Post: Professor (Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry)

No of Post: 01

Pay Scales: Rs. 37400-67000+GP of Rs.10000/-

Qualification:

a) An eminent scholar actively engaged in teaching/research/extension with published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/ policy papers in indexed/ ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books and having Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Physiology/Veterinary Biochemistry.

b) Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.

c) B.V.Sc. & A.H./ B.V.Sc. with atleast second division.

d) Ten years’ experience in teaching/research/extension education in Veterinary Physiology/Veterinary Biochemistry out of which atleast two years should be as Associate Professor or equivalent in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs. 9000/- and remaining as Assistant Professor or equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree will not be counted as research experience).

e) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

Job Responsibilities: 1. Teaching/Research/Extension duties. 2. To take initiative/ steps in bringing research projects for strengthening the research, teaching and extension education programme. 3. Any other duty assigned from time to time.

Qualification: Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board. Must have passed Punjabi examination at matric level. Atleast two years of experience of working as Attendant in the relevant field in Govt./Semi Govt. Institutes/State Universities/Govt. Boards/ Corporations.

Qualification: Must have passed 5 th class and having knowledge of Punjabi.

Experience:- Five years of experience in sweeping and cleaning animal farms, hospital, slaughter house, sewerage and/or treatment plant.

Qualification:

a) Ph.D. in any branch of Dairy Science & Technology/ Livestock Products Technology.

b) 12 years experience in teaching/ research/ extension in the area of Dairy Science & Technology/ Livestock Products Technology with substantial research work involving milk and milk products technology out of which 5 years must be as Professor or equivalent.

c) i) Administrative experience in responsible teaching/ research/extension posts and ability to organize and supervise the work of others.

ii) Substantial contributions to teaching/research/extension and scholarship as evidenced by the teaching innovations/quality of papers published in professional journals of repute, adoption of results of research/extension education.

d) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

1. Nama of the Post: Scientist (Veterinary Virology)

No of Post: 01

Pay Scales: Rs. 15600-39100+GP of Rs. 6000/-

Qualification:

a) B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.V.Sc. at least with 2nd division

b) M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Bacteriology and Virology/ Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Virology with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks with specialization in the field of Veterinary Virology.

c) Matric level certificate of Punjabi language (if not, the candidate is required to pass the same within one year of appointment).

d) Candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. Degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.

No of Post: 01

Pay Scales: Rs. 4900-10680+GP of Rs.1650/-+

Qualification: Matric with five years of experience of working in Girls Hostel in a Govt./Semi Govt. institutes/State Universities. Must have passed Punjabi upto Matric level. (Preference will be given to higher qualifications/experience.)

Age Limit: For posts at Sr. No. 1 to 28, 31 to 56 and 64 to 67; the minimum age of entry is 18 years and the retirement age is 60 years (including for posts to be filled up on deputation). For posts at Sr. No. 29, 30, 58 to 63 and 68 to 71; the minimum age of entry is 18 years and maximum age is 37 years as on 01.01.2021.
