Qualification : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Sanskrit Education. (ii) Acharya in any discipline/Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); (iii) Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.) with at least 50% of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading systems is followed); and (iv) “Provided further, the award of degree to candidates registered for the M.Phil/Ph.D. Programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bylaws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the degree and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or Equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: (a) Ph.D degree of the candidates awarded in regular mode only; (b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners; (c) Open Ph.D. viva-voce of the candidate had been conducted’ (d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a referred journal; (e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/Seminars, based on his/her Ph.D. work. (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro-ViceChancellor/Dean (Academic Affairs)/ Dean (University instructions). Desirable : In addition to Acharya in any discipline / Master’s Degree in Sanskrit, preference will be given to the candidates having M.A in Telugu or Hindi. Assistant Professor in Vyakarana : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Vyakarana. (ii) Good academic record with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Acharya in Vyakaran/Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Vyakarana) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject Assistant Professor in Jyotisha : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Jyotisha. (ii) Good academic record with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Acharya in Jyotisha/ Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Jyotisha) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject. Assistant Professor in Visistadvaita Vedanta: (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Visistadvaita Vedanta. (ii) Good academic record with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Acharya in Visistadvaita Vedanta Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Visistadvaita Vedanta) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject. Assistant Professor in Sahitya : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Sahitya. (ii) Good academic record with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Acharya/Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Sahitya) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject. Assistant Professor in Hindi : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Hindi. (ii) Good academic record with at least 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Hindi) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject. Assistant Professor in Yoga and Meditation : (i) Good Academic Record with a Ph.D. Degree in Yoga and Meditation. (ii) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree in relevant subject (Yoga and Meditation) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (iii) Besides fulfilling the above-mentioned qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET in the relevant subject.
Scale of pay : Rs.15600-39100/-
Fee : Rs.800/- for General/OBC candidates. Rs.200/- for SC/ST candidates and no fees for PWD candidates by way of Demand Draft drawn in any nationalized bank in favour of the Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati from 22.11.2017 on wards.

The Vidyapeetha Society has had a galaxy of successive chairmen who were well known public figures – Sri Patanjali Sastry, former Chief Justice of India being the first, followed by Prof.V.Raghavan, a reputed Indologist and Sri M.Ananthasayanam Ayyangar, former Speaker of Lok Sabha. Dr. B.R. Sharma was the Founder, and also acted as the Director from 1962 to 1970. Later the post of Director was changed into that of Principal. Sri Venkata Raghavacharya,Dr.Mandan Mishra, Dr.R.Karunakaran, Dr. M.D. Balasubramanyam and Prof. N.S. Ramanuja Tatacharya served the institution in various capacities. Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha came underthe aegis of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan– an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education in April, 1971.Despitethechallenges of the modern world, it has grown from strength to strength as a premier Institution forSanskritlearningandresearchinIndia . DuringtheSilver Jubilee celebrations in 1987, Sri P.V.Narasimha Rao, the then Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India announced the decision of the Government to elevate its status to that of a Deemed University.
