Qualification

Assistant Professor : Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized Post Graduate Medical College as Senior Resident/ Registrar/ Lecturer/ Demonstrator/ Tutor or equivalent or higher teaching faculty posts after post graduation in the concerned specialty. The Candidates who have done super-speciality (DM/M.Ch) in concerned speciality shall be directly eligible for post Assistant Professor

Senior Resident /Senior Tutor :  a recognized post graduate degree from a statutory university with 3 years experience of residency in the concerned specialty or ii) a recognized postgraduate diploma from a statutory university in the concerned specialty with 2 years experience of residency in the concerned specialty and 1 year residency experience in the concerned specialty obtained after acquiring the PG diploma or A graduate doctor with recognized MBBS degree and registered in IMR who has got 3 (three) years experience as a resident doctor in the concerned specialty

Lady Medical Officer :  MBBS degree from a institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Emergency Medical Officer : MBBS degree from a institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Staff Nurse :  1. 10+2 or its equivalent from recognized Board/University/Institution 2. B.Sc Nursing/ Three years Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from a recognized University/ Institution 3. Registered with Punjab Nurse Registration Council, Chandigarh. 4. Preference will be given to the candidates possessing B.Sc (N) qualification. 5. Applicant must have passed Punjabi or its equivalent upto Matric level. Note- experience persons will be preferred

Assistant Librarian : 1. B.Lib from recognized University/Institution 2. Minimum experience of 2 (two) years in University/Government Department/Recognized Educational Institution. 3. Applicant must have passed Punjabi or its equivalent upto Matric level.

Salary

Assistant Professor – Rs..37400-67000+8600 G.P

Senior Resident/Senior Tutor – Rs. 15600+5400+NPA+DA (3% increment for 2nd and 3rd year)

Lady Medical Officer- Rs. 15600-39100+5400 G.P

Emergency Medical Officer- Rs. 15600-39100+5400 G.P

Staff Nurse- Rs. 10300-34800+4600 GP.

Assistant Librarian- Rs. 5910-20200+2400 G.P

Upper Age limit : The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age in the case of Assistant Professor, not more than 45 years in case of Associate Professor and not more than 50 years in the case of Professor. In Service candidates i.e. in the case of persons already in regular employment of any department of Punjab Government/ Any State Government/Central Government in India, applying for direct recruitment for all posts shall have 10 years relaxation. For other posts the maximum age is 37 years. Relaxation is upper age limit as per Punjab Govt. Rules.
