Job description:
- Support the Country Risk Management team in the development, organization and update of Country Risk policies, standards and procedures and in executing Country Risk governance more broadly
- Ensure governance initiatives are completed in disciplined and structured way; seek efficiency through innovation where possible
- Track and resolve items that impact governance objectives and timelines
- Help coordinate the collection of materials to support requests from internal audit, senior management or regulators
- Assist in the analysis of legal entity level reporting, including inter-entity transactions
- Work together with other risk functions on governance or policies which may apply to specific legal entities
- Support mapping of legal obligations to applicable internal documentation
- Assist in other Country Risk Management projects as needed, particularly those relating to resolution of data quality and control issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and work experience in the financial industry
- Outstanding listening and negotiation skills as well as being a strong written and verbal communicator
- Prior experience in a risk or control function preferred
- Effective organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple work streams and processes
- Ability to structure and scope complex problems
- Team-oriented nature with clear project ownership mentality; ability to work with multiple stakeholders including with Reporting, Technology and Middle Office
- Excellent attention to detail and diligent at follow up
- Pro-active attitude, intellectually curious, creative and self-motivated
