Your Role and Responsibilities

Reliability Engineer

The Multi-cloud Management Platform (MCMP) Site Reliability Engineer position is responsible for:

• Designing, analyzing, and solving large-scale distributed systems
• Participation in on-call rotation
• Engage with product teams to fix production outages and carry forward action items to improve ongoing reliability
• Develop effective tooling, alerts, and response to both identify and address reliability risks including automatic problem detection and mitigation
• Manage end-to-end availability and performance of Cloud Brokerage services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. Eventually automate response to all non-exceptional service conditions
• Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the Brokerage services

As MCMP Engineer, you should possess the following skills:

• DevOps Mindset
• Enjoy solving difficult engineering problems and don’t mind getting your hands dirty
• Approach solving systematically and have a deep sense of ownership for whatever you work on
• Ability to root cause sources of instability in a high-traffic, distributed system
• Passion for resolving reliability issues and identify strategies to mitigate going forward

Brokerage Solution Engineer

As a Brokerage Solution Engineer, you are role responsible for customization of the IBM Brokerage product for different customers. You will participate in building exclusive integrations of IBM Brokerage product with various IT infrastructure / services management products that exists in client environments. You will work on the design, coding, unit testing of various modules using technologies including, but not limited to, /Python/Java/J2EE, XML/XSD/JSON/ Docker/ Angular JS/ React/ Node Js. You will demonstrate experience in standard product engineering development processes using various tools.

Network Analyst

• Detecting failure events from the monitoring system (alert management) or receiving and responding to problems that could not be resolved by Level 0
• Problem validation (real problem or not?) and Opening problem records
• Follow any scripted PD Processes
• Documenting actions in the problem record
• Route call to next level of support, as required.
• First level of investigation can be made by use of PING and TRACERT commands to perform initial problem location. The results of these commands ought to be recorded
• Skill to manage trouble first level Fault
