Associate Professor (General Medicine)  job vacancies in Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Chennai on contract basis

Qualifications  :

For General Disciplines: Education Qualifications Essential for Medical candidates :  (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second schedule or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in part-II of the Third schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act); and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine)/MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline. (iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

Essential for Non-Medical Candidates : (i) a post graduate qualification i.e Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline; and (ii) a Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the table –I of Schedule I of the Medical Council of India- “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998”.

Experience : Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college. Two research publications in indexed journals in the concerned specialty during the period of Assistant Professor.

Remuneration : Consolidated remuneration on initial appointment is Rs. 1,16,000/-

Age Limit : Not exceeding 69 years as on date of walk in interview.

Application Fee : A Demand Draft for Rs.300/- (as applicable) in favour of “ESI Fund Account No.I”, drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Chennai has to be submitted along with application form.

Selection Procedure :  (i) The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the Selection Board. (ii) Result will be communicated through e-mail and will be displayed on website. (iii) Selected candidates will have to join immediately after receipt of the offer of appointment.
