Pay Rs.67,700/- (Level 11) + NPA (pre-revised) + other allowances as admissible
under the rules per month.

degree/Diploma in concerned specialty or 2 year experience after MBBS out of
which one year in the concerned specialty. For ICU, PG. Degree/diploma in
Medicine or Anesthesia or 2 year experience after MBBS out of which one year in
the concerned specialty.
Emoluments : Consolidated Remuneration of Rs. 1,01,000/-
per month for the post of SR 1 year for candidate holding post graduate degree
S diploma holders Non P.G Candidate will be entitled as per 6th CPC i.e. Rs.
24,750/- ( Basic Pay Rs. 18150 + 6600) for diploma holders and Rs. 24,140/- (
Basic Pay Rs. 18150 + 6600) for non P.G candidate

Junior Resident (1

interview for selection and will be offered residency only if no fresh junior

Medical Candidates: (a) A recognized
Medical Qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of
the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of
Education Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also
fulfill (b) the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Act. (c) Should
be Registered with the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council. For
Non-Medical Candidates: A Post graduate qualification i.e., Master Degree in
the concerned subject Allied discipline i.e., Medical Biochemistry, Medical
Pharmacology etc. (NOTE: The respective subject/allied disciple should be as in
the Table-I of Schedule q of the MCI 'Minimum qualification for teachers
in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998')
Emoluments : 7th CPC level 10 of pay matrix @ Rs. 56100+ NPA
plus other allowances as admissible under the rules in Central Government of
India. The retired govt. officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with
the rules in force as on date. Terms of contract for contractual tutors: Selected candidates shall be appointed on
purely contractual basis for an initial period of one year.

for Medical Candidates; (I) A recognized medical qualification Included in the
First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian medical
Council Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Pan II of
the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated In Section 13
13) of the said Act); and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of
Medicine) or MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent
thereto In the respective subject/allied discipline. (iii) For Dentistry :A
Post Graduate qualification viz. Master of Dental Surgery (BDS) or a
recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject/allied
discipline. Non - Medical Candidates : (i)
A Postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or
allied discipline and (ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognized University In
the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or
allied discipline should be as In the Table - 1 of schedule I of the Medical
Council of India - 'Minimum Qualifications for Teachers In Medical Institutions
Regulations, 1998. (a) Four years teaching experience as Reader or Associate
Professor in a recognized medical college in the concerned specialty. Note :
The transitory period of 4 years w.e.f. 24t6 July, 2009, the appointment or
promotion to the post of Professor can be made by the Institutes in accordance
with the Medical Council of India - , 'Minimum Qualifications for Teachers
in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998' as prevailing before
notification of Medical Council of India - 'Minimum Qualifications for
Teachers in Medical Institutions (Amendment) Regulations, 2009.' OR (b)
Three years teaching experience as Associate Professor in the concerned
specialty in a recognized medical college with minimum of four research
publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research
publications are published or accepted for publications in the Journals by the
National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First
Author, and further provided that the requirement of 4 research publications
for promotion to the post of Professor should be taken on cumulative basis with
minimum of 2 research publications must be published during the tenure of the
Associate Professor.

promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be taken on cumulative
basis with minimum of 2 research publications must be published during the
tenure of the Assistant Professor. NOTE (1) If a Diplomat of National Board
(DNB) qualified candidate is working as Assistant Professor in a Medical
Council of India recognized Medical College or Central Institute, he would
require one more year of teaching or research experience to be promoted as
Associate Professor over & above the minimum time frame for Doctor of
Medicine (MD) or Masters of Surgery (MS). NOTE (2) The experience should be
recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with
the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and
certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be
submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted. NOTE (3)
Teaching experience In any other post like the most of General Duty Medical
Officer shall not be considered for eligibility purpose for recruitment to
teaching posts.

a post graduate qualification e.g. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or MS (Master of
Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto In the respective
subject/allied discipline. (iii) For Dentistry: A Post Graduate qualification
viz. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent
thereto in the respective subject/allied discipline. Non - Medical Candidates :
(1) A Postgraduate qualification i.e.
Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline and (ii) A

qualification from Medical Council of India recognized medical colleges or
central institutes where the number of doctor of medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery
(MS) course funning; 10 Three years teaching experience in the subject in a
recognized medical college either during the Diplomat of National Board (DNB)
course or after possessing the diplomat of national board (DNB) qualification.
