Job Description
ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST (BREEDING INNOVATIONS)
Qualifications and Experience:
PhD in a Plant Breeding / Genetics/ Mol. Biology / Biotechnology with at least 3 years post-PhD experience.
Experience in Quantitative Genetics and Genomics. Proven research experience on coordination, delivery of strategic plans and working with network projects.
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
Desirable:
Respectable publication record, as evidenced by research papers in referred journals
Experience in writing and managing grants
Aptitude to work collegially and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural environments.
General:
This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position for 3 years (36 months) and renewable depending on the performance of the incumbent, funding availability, and also the Institute’s ongoing requirement for the position.
