Asst. Professor/Administrative Officer/Accountant Job Opportunity In National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities
Asst. Professor (PMR) (Consultant)/01 Post
Essential:
i. MBBS
ii. PG degree/Diploma in PMR recognised by MCI/RCI.
Experience:
i. Minimum five years experience in teaching or research in related field.
Desirable:
i. Ph.D in the field of rehabilitation of persons with Disabilities.
Salary (Consolidated – Fixed): Rs. 60,000/-
Asst. Professor (Special Education) (Consultant)/01
Essential:
i. Master Degree with M.Ed. (Special Edn.) (Full time course) in any category recognised by RCI.
ii. Minimum of 55% marks in M.Ed.
iii. Minimum 5 years of experience in teaching/research in the field of Rehabilitation.
Desirable:
i. Ph.D in related field of rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.
Salary (Consolidated – Fixed): Rs.55,000/-
Administrative Officer (Consultant)/01 Post
Essential:
i. Post Graduate Degree/MBA from recognised University.
ii. Minimum five years of experience in establishment/admin. matters in any Govt. Organisation
Salary (Consolidated – Fixed): Rs.40,000/-
Accountant (Consultant)/01 Post
Essential:
i. Commerce graduate from a recognized University with hands on knowledge of computer and Tally.
ii. Minimum 5 years experience in handling accounts/cash in Govt. or Semi Govt. Establishment of which minimum 3 years experience of having worked in the related field.
Salary (Consolidated – Fixed): Rs. 35,000/-

This decade led to the emergence & proposal of the PwD (1995) Act and the National Trust (1999) Act in India. After the proposal of National Trust Act (1999), focus was given to Persons with Multiple Disabilities and there arose a need to start a National Institute exclusively for Empowerment of persons with Multiple Disabilities. To achieve the focus given above, National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (NIEPMD) came in to an existence in the year 2005. The Institute is situated in a beautiful ambience on East coast road (ECR) Muttukadu, Chennai, which is 35 kilometers away from the Chennai Central station. Since the commencement in 2005 the services for Persons with Disabilities for single as well as Multiple disabilities as NIEPMD has been given on an outpatient basis through a multi-disciplinary team model, besides the cottage services and extension services.
