Job Description
We are looking for a Python Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. You will be responsible for open source application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintain/enhance existing python-based applications.
• Design/implement on-going business request.
• Improve SDLC
• Integrate various systems to improve efficiency.
To win in this role, you need:
First and foremost, you have strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills. You work well under pressure and have strong written and verbal communications skills. You pride yourself in being an energetic self-starter who shows personal initiative and have experience working in a rapidly changing environment. You also have:
- Minimum of a combined 6 years of Application Development experience, including experience at a rapidly growing company
- Mandatory 6 years of experience with Python.
- Experience with complex SaaS Production or revenue critical web services environments
- Proficient in application performance engineering, testing and tuning
- Experience with environment configurations at network, OS and application levels
- Experience with environment monitoring in 24/7 web application and SaaS environments
- Availability for occasional on-call after-hours support
- Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
- Experience working with AWS environment automation (provisioning, auto scaling, cloud formation, service registry, security groups)
- Fluency in English is essential (spoken/written).
- Ability to rapidly pick up new concepts, tools and technologies
- Ability to articulate complex designs and ideas to both technical and non-technical colleagues
