You are going to work for a global retail software provider with a vision to empower multi-channel retailers to thrive in today’s digital world by accelerating their digital transformation and helping them achieve omnichannel excellence.

We are looking to recruit an individual who has great experience working with Microsoft technologies, C#.NET and SQL, ideally T-SQL. This is a brilliant opportunity to get involved in all aspects of the product development life cycle, from involvement with our ever-evolving product roadmap to new product developments and 3rd line support. We are looking for someone who can utilise their expertise to analyse, develop and improve both new and current back-end applications and processes and can create innovative and best in class solutions for our customers

What would be my main responsibilities as a Back End Developer?

• Build, develop and support our new and existing applications in line with business requirements
• Understand program specifications and work to create new innovative products/updates
• Develop and maintain functional and stable web applications and databases
• Be an active influencer in technical discussions, contributing and suggesting ideas for the improvement of our system and processes
• Test and document your own work
• Carry out bug fixes as required
• Maintain our live systems
• Keep abreast of the latest and emerging technologies

What we’d like from you

• At least 3 years experience developing commercial C# .NET based projects.
• At least 2 years' strong professional experience in SQL Server, T-SQL and Relational Database Design
• Experience of Backend development: C#, ASP.Net/MVC and SQL
• Experience building WebAPI's and/or Webservices.
• Experience of Visual Studio and Entity Framework.
• Experience designing systems that will be used at scale
• Good understanding of programming methodologies, standards and techniques
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work well as part of the development team

The following would be a great advantage:
Experience or knowledge of the retail industry / retail software systems
