Job Description
Big Data Developer: Important to have a through grounding in Hadoop with strong knowlege base.
- Min 3/4 yrs-Apache Hadoop stack, - Spark, MapReduce, Hive,HBase,Flume,Oozie, Sqoop, Knowledge of NoSQL platforms - Hbase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Expertise In Scala, Java
- Very good hands on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop with experience with specific distributions such as Cloudera, HortonWorks, MapR,
- 4 years of experience with the Apache Hadoop stack, such as Spark, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume, and so on.
- Knowledge of NoSQL platforms such as Hbase, MongoDB, Cassandra, Accumulo, etc.
- Expertise in Scala,Java
- A Big Data certification will be advantage.
- Extensive Experience in Setting Hadoop Cluster. Decommissioning and commissioning the Node on running hadoop cluster.
- Involved in writing the hive, Pig scripts to reduce the job execution time.
- Strong Knowledge of Hadoop and Hive's analytical functions.
- Experience in working with structured,un-structured and semi-structured data.
- Used Network Monitoring Daemons like Ganglia and Service monitoring tools like Nagios.
- Very good experience in installation and configuration of various Hadoop Ecosystems like sqoop, pig, hive, flume and Hadoop Daemons.
- Involved in bench marking Hadoop/HBase cluster file systems various batch jobs and workloads
- Hands on experience in analyzing Log files for Hadoop and eco system services .
- Experience in HDFS data storage and support for running Spark, map-reduce jobs.
- Experience in importing and exporting the data using Sqoop from HDFS to Relational Database systems and vice-versa.
- Scheduling all hadoop/hive/sqoop/Hbase jobs using Oozie.
- Experience in database design using Stored Procedure, Functions, Triggers and strong experience in writing complex queries for SQL Server.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical skills, and strong ability to perform as part of team.
- Exceptional ability to learn new concepts, Hard working and enthusiastic .
- First- hand experience building enterprise data warehousing and in- depth knowledge of related concepts.
- Knowledge of R, SAS, and SPSS will be added advantage .
- One or more years of industry or client relationship experience .
- Good exposure in IT Services/ Consulting background .
- Understand, Capture Customer/Business Requirements and translate the same into Product KPIs and Configurations. Mostly over a call, in some cases f2f.
- Guide the team with Product Configurations, Review Intermediate Results inline with original requirements and provide course corrections/changes where needed.
- Engage with the customer where needed for clarifying requirements, data, expectations.
- Review final processed results, analyse the same inline with original requirements and KPIs, generate actionable business insights.
- Prepare the final report covering the agreed scope and kpis outlining key actionable insights and detailed supporting analysis for the same.
- Present the report to internal stakeholders and make any changes if needed.
- Present the final report to the customer (f2f or over webex)
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Deep first- hand experience building enterprise data warehousing and in- depth knowledge of related concepts. Knowledge of R, SAS, and SPSS will be added advantage
- Three or more years of industry or client relationship experience
- Three or more years managing people
- Strong IT Services/ Consulting background
- Bachelor's degree with required experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Facilitate skill adoption to guarantee successful deployments
