Job Description
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani (BITS Pilani) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow
Title of the project: The ‘sySTEMs’ initiative: systems biology-augmented, stem cellderived, multi-tissue panel for rapid screening of approved drugs as potential COVID-19 treatments
Duration of the project: one year
Project position and number: JRF or SRF and 01 No
Work profile:
a. Primary task: Development of a web application (both frontend and backend).
b. Secondary task: Designing a pool of machine learning algorithms for drug database mining.

Fellowship amount: JRF: 31000 /- pm, SRF: 35000 /- pm. Those with at least two years’ relevant work experience will be employed as SRF.
Eligibility requirements: Bachelor/Masters/MCA/Ph.D. in engineering/science in any discipline with a minimum score of 60% aggregate. Knowledge in one of the web server scripting languages is mandatory. Knowledge in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are mandatory. Experience in website development and relational database management systems is expected.
Desirable: Ability to work in an interdisciplinary project. Good written and verbal English language skills are essential. Candidates with knowledge in machine learning and statistical analysis are preferable. GATE / NET qualification is desirable, not mandatory.
