Job Description
· Develops a system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
· Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions and Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
· Maintains historical records by filing documents.
· Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
· Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
· Tag and monitor fixed assets.
· Record cash receipts and make bank deposits and Ensure that receivables are collected promptly by following the accounting policies and procedures
· Conduct a monthly and periodic reconciliation of all the bank accounts to ensure their accuracy.
· Maintains the petty cash fund and Issue financial statements.
· Maintains an orderly accounting filing system and annual budget.
· Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
