Para Medical Staff (SI (Staff Nurse) Group-B /ASI (Pharmacist-Group-C) recruitment in Border Security Force (BSF),Directorate General Border Security Force (Pers Directorate: Rectt Section)
SI (Staff Nurse) Group-B
Essential Qualification : (i) 10+2 or Equivalent (ii) Degree/Diploma in General Nursing Programme. (iii) Registration as General Nurse and Midwife with Central or State Nursing Council. Desirable Experience in the field of Tuberculosis, Hospital I Administration, foster Tutor, Public health, Pediatrics, Psychiatry

Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800/- & Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
ASI (Pharmacist-Group-C)
Essential Qualification : (i) 10+2 or equivalent (ii) Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy from any recognized Institution of the Central or State Government for which the period of Training in two years followed by an internship of which the practical training shall not be less than five hundred hours spread over a period of not less than three months. Provided that not less than two hundred and fifty hours are devoted to actual dispensing of prescriptions. (iii) Possessing the qualifications under Section 31 & 32 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 and registered under Section 33 of the said Act

Till 1965 India ’s borders with Pakistan were manned by the State Armed Police Battallion. Pakistan attacked Sardar Post, Chhar Bet and Beria Bet on 9 April, 1965 in Kutch . This exposed the inadequacy of the State Armed Police to cope with armed aggression due to which the Government of India felt the need for a specialized centrally controlled Border Security Force, which would be armed and trained to man the International Border with Pakistan.
