Role description
- Identify potential business areas/ revenue opportunities
- Create business intelligence around possible clients in identified business areas
- Initiate marketing efforts to target clients based on gathered intel
- Arrange and attend client meetings to promote the company and its services
- Email and Phone management of client leads
- Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
Role Requirements
- You should have good written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi
- You should be able to work in an ambiguous environment – we are in start-up mode and many of our processes are still being laid out, some of them possibly by you!
- You should be happy working flexible hours – we are a fun-loving team, but when we work, we mean business and like to get things done if we are on a run. If you like the occasional late night with some beer, red bull or coffee, you will fit

Salary expectations:
- Rs 13,000 fixed plus monthly commissions. If the sales agent is good, they will be able to earn Rs 65,000 on a monthly basis.

Who are we?
MarketFinance is a platform that helps micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India in need of working capital, by providing them with access to loans. Post INSEAD, we launched our startup in January 2016 and have since done $1.2m in successful transactions.
We created an online marketplace, connecting MSMEs with Banks and NBFCs so as to provide our MSME clients with a large number of financial products in a swift and efficient manner. The lenders (Banks and NBFCs) receive competitive returns on their investment for various risk profiles.
