Job Role: Business Development Executive
Purpose
of this Position:
· Responsible for conducting all fundraising activities for Rubaroo as well as the development & execution of the fundraising strategy
· Responsible for leading Rubaroo's marketing and communications efforts
Key
Responsibilities
1. Planning, Growing and Delivering Fundraising and other strategies
· Creating fundraising pipeline strategy and defining long term organizational strategic goals
· Developing donor retention strategy and revenue generation strategy
· Attending networking events, conferences, and providing feedback and information on market and creative trends
· Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments
· Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and marketing channels that will lead to an increase in visibility and incoming revenue
2. Business Development
- Individual Donors (High Net-worth Individuals/Retail Donors)
· Develop the pipeline of new donors coming into the organization through cold calls, meetings, etc
· Research, identify and cultivate relationships with prospective individual donors and present Rubaroo and its work to secure high-level donations
· Convert them into confirmed donors and strengthen relations with existing donors
- Organisations (For CSR and Grant)
· Identify opportunities and potential tie-ups that will bring in revenue, support and funds for Rubaroo
· Plan persuasive approaches, campaigns and pitches that will convince potential donors
· Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the donor’s needs, concerns and objectives
· Negotiate and close deals
· Develop and implement strategies for strengthening relationships with existing business supporters
- Events and Partner Fundraising
· Identify collateral needs (eg publications, video, online communications, mailing materials) and create it to support Rubaroo's fundraising activities
· Undertake Direct Marketing campaigns, including mail and online appeals
· Set up, coordinate and organize fundraising events like TMM
3. Donor Data Management
· Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the organization’s data management systems
· Forecast targets and ensures they are met by the team
· Track and record activity
· Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of individual fundraising initiatives and campaigns
· Develop and maintain donor relations management systems to support fundraising activities of Rubaroo
· Donor communications and engagement
4. Marketing
· Supporting timely website maintenance
· Building Rubaroo as a brand name in the CSA space
· Creating Marketing Strategy (includes social media and communications) and supporting its implementation
Qualifications and Experience: BBA/B.Com/BA, Undergraduate degree from a top tier institution; while there is no preference for a particular major or specialization, we expect to see a high degree of intellectual curiosity and sophistication
· 3-4 years of work experience in a challenging/ high growth environment
· Minimum 3 years of End-to-end fundraising & financial management experience (from strategy to execution)
