Education and Experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years+ extensive SAP experience  / Consulting Experience   (Preferred Automobile/ manufacturing Industry) (SAP Project Management/ FICO /MM / SD Support).
  • Overall 8 years  IT management experience and experience in managing decentralized teams
  • 5 plus years of project management experience and project management tools.
  • Solid team/project management, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on working mentality

Position Summary
Business Relationship Manager (BRM) manages the IT portfolio for  Manesar and Talegaon. This includes the tactical and operational IT, as well as managing project demands and portfolios in the region.

Responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT services are in alignment with the business objectives of the organization as well as the IT strategy. This individual will initiates, plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities of the organization. The BRM will work closely with the plant manager and his management team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business organization.

The position includes the role of the business relationship manager. Key responsibilities are to be accountable for all IT services of BorgWarner available In related RU’s, advice business on how best utilize, direct IT solutions towards IT standards and strategy. Report out  on IT operational and project delivery performance based on service level agreements. Establishes and maintains positive business relationships throughout the business community.

Responsible for Information Technology projects  in his RU and for assigned global projects (from conception to completion),for a broad range of Information Technology initiatives, focused on SAP ERP and further SAP application solutions. Provides project management and information technology expertise for application software projects and system support.

Develops his management team in professional and personal aspects to support the business growth. Establishes reporting standards and an operational model of continuous improvement.

Key Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Responsible for IT strategy and delivery relating to usability, functions/features, and customer experience.
  • Acts as the business relationship manager for the senior business management team for assigned RUs
  • Oversees IT organization and overall IT services and service models.
  • Provide initial project estimates for cost-benefit analysis
  • Advice business on how to maximize IT investments and identifies opportunities for leverage of IT globally/regional
  • Work with business to prioritize and sequence projects
  • Manage expectations and communication with business stakeholders.
  • Providing a visionary approach to business/technology opportunities as well as a detailed, methodical involvement for daily management of applications.
  • Manages budget and cost effectiveness of their area of responsibility.
  • Direct projects towards desired technology strategies and standards
  • Member of Emissions IT management team developing key IT strategies and standards for the group in alignment with the business strategies
  • Work closely with the IT services team Locally and Globally.
  • Responsible for developing, and retaining assigned IT team
  • Leadership – Creates strong morale and team spirit within the team while actively fostering wins/successes through results
