Role Summary:
Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for a Buying/Procurement Specialist to join the team in Gurgaon, India who will be responsible to manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.
Essential Responsibilities:
Baker Hughes has a new opportunity for a Buying/Procurement Specialist to join the team in Gurgaon, India who will be responsible to manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Understands concepts, methods, procedures and approaches.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Able to communicate effectively with Baker Hughes Global supplier base in different time zones
- Support stakeholders for sourcing parts and identify and implement process improvements
- Floating RFQ/Inquiry to potential global suppliers
- Sourcing of Castings, machining and c-parts
- Control of orders, important shipping notices and timely receipt in global warehouses
- Manage Push-Out and Pull-In of orders
- Able to negotiate price, pay-terms and agreements with suppliers and monitor supplier performance
- Responsible for all aspects related to parts supplier management and execution, as well as global parts availability, productivity and quality: from agreements negotiation to transaction execution, new material and repair requirements, supplier delivery schedule, transaction accuracy along the PO-to-receipt cycle
- Responsible for the supplier scorecard covering delivery cycle time, response time, cost and competitiveness, productivity and quality using Lean Six Sigma
- Proactively communicates with stakeholders on critical parts review, shipping dates and documentation
- Identify and lead opportunities for improvements in supply chain processes, supplier performance, relationships and internal / external operational productivity
- Developing risk mitigation strategies including contingency plans, lead-time reductions and supply chain efficiency
- Possess knowledge of Inco terms, EU and US regulatory and import requirements
- Engineering graduate from an accredited university or college (with 2-4 years of experience in Sourcing)
- Preferred experience & knowledge working with castings, Valves & forging process.
- Ready to work in shifts and stretch as & when needed
- Prior Supply chain experience with MNC is preferred
- Hands-on and ability to handle multiple priorities in a high demanding, international environment
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Technical expertise and Risk Assessment Capability
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with stakeholders
- ERP experience with SAP & Ariba will be advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate highest level of Integrity
