An Online Walk-in-Interview is scheduled for filling up the following position at the Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi under the project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The position is purely on a temporary basis and coterminous with the project. Details of the positions are as follows:
1. POSITION: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate I (PA I)
2. No of Post: 01 (One)
3. Project Name: Mapping and quantitative assessment of plant resources and its distribution in Madhya Pradesh, Central India.
4. Emoluments (Per month): Rs. 31000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year, and thereafter Rs. 35000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF. (Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET if selected, will be paid to assign the post of Project Associate I @ Rs.25000/- + HRA per month for the initial two years, and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA as Project Associate II.) HRA shall be paid as per the University rules.
5. Duration: The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of three months, which can be extended further depending upon the performance of the candidate.
6. Qulification: Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech. in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics. Preference may be given to the candidates with research interests & fieldwork (primarily in the forest) as per the requirement of the project. Candidates with NET will be preferred.
7. Desirable: Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data and satellite data products, Census, NSSO, meteorological data etc.), with working knowledge of hyperspectral & microwave remote sensing, R, Python, MATLAB software(s), artificial intelligence, machine learning etc. will be preferred.
8. Role And Responsibilities: JRF/ PA I will be responsible to carry out various image processing, GIS analysis, AIML, report writing, fieldwork etc. The candidate may have to perform the extensive field activities related to the project as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
