Job Description

Chair Professor job Position in ISM Dhanbad

Qualification  :  Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch of engineering with a very good academic record throughout.  Or An outstanding Engineer/Technologist, working in Industry with established reputation and who has made significant contribution to knowledge but may be without a Ph.D. degree.

Experience :   Minimum 10 years' experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.

Remuneration  :  (a) The remuneration of 'SAIL-NMDC Chair Professor' shall be fixed as per rules in the pay scale of a Professor in IIT (ISM). However, the salary, emoluments and other entitlements — Leave Salary, PF, Chair Honorarium (Rs. 20,000/- per month) will be payable within the amount accruing at 6.5% interest from Endowment Grant of the Chair. The remuneration including all allowances, perks and grants & honorariums shall be approximately Rs. 16 lakhs per annum.

(b) For the serving faculty of I IT (ISM), Dhanbad or other academic institution on appointment as Chair Professor, the pay and perks should be from the interest accrued at 6.5% on endowment grant, except that if required their pay would be protected as per GOI rules by supplementation from institute fund.

Age Limit : At the time of appointment, the Chair Professor should have a minimum of two years to serve before reaching the maximum age of 70 years.
