Job Description
Applications are invited for filling up of the post of Chief Operations Manager (HoD), in the scale of pay of Rs.1,00,000-2,60,000 (Pre-revised Rs. 18,500-23,900), by Absorption through Composite Method from among the eligible officers of Major Port Trusts as per the Recruitment Rule (Annexure-I).
As directed by the Ministry, vide, letter dated 19/11/2019, the incumbent will be initially appointed to the HoD post in the scale of pay of Rs. Rs.1,00,000-2,60,000 (Pre-revised Rs. 18,500-23,900) and after completion of three years’ regular service in the post, he/she will be elevated to the scale of pay of Rs.1,20,000-2,80,000 (Pre-revised Rs. 20,500-26,500), subject to fulfilling the relevant conditions as per Ministry’s guideline, vide, letter No. A-12023/15/2018- PE-I dated 19/11/2019. It may be noted that any changes as directed by the Ministry from time to time, will be made applicable.
Educational and other qualifications prescribed for direct recruitment: Essential: Degree in Engineering from a recognized University/ Certificate of Competency as MOT First Class/Master Mariner having Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign Going Ship / PostGraduate degree from a recognized University.
Experience: 17 years experience in Executive Cadre in Marine/ Engineering / Traffic in any Port / Government or Semi-Government Department /Public Sector Undertaking / Autonomous Body.
Scale Of Pay(Rs_): Rs.100000- 260000 (Prerevised Rs. 18500- 23900) Elevated to the scale of pay of Rs.120000- 280000 (Prerevised Rs. 20500- 26500) after completion of 3 years regular service and subject to meeting 3 conditions mentioned in para 2(ii) of the Ministry’s letter No. A12023/15/2018- PE-I dated 19.11.2019).
