Key roles and responsibilities:
- Manage multiple Project deliveries for the Data Remediation Team within the DQ functions
- Stakeholder and business engagement including communication on progress, risks, etc. across CIB LoBs to MD level
- Effectively manage a team of professionals in support of data remediation projects. Conduct regular performance and career progression discussions as per J.P. Morgan defined processes
- Socialize data quality management team’s capabilities and service offerings in wider forums with a intention of generating strong project pipeline
- Preparation of governance and spotlight decks for executive meetings
- Ensuring team members adhere to bank’s internal processes and Policies (configuration management, change control, access to data & systems, etc.)
- Actively seek and apply Process Improvements within the Data Remediation team and across projects
- Delivery management through internal entities (like business / technology teams) and vendors, as needed
- Resource Planning and optimization
- Identifying and facilitating relevant trainings for team’s skill enhancements
Qualifications:
- Educated to Degree level ( Preferably BE/B-Tech or MBA )
- Formal training in Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 10+ years’ experience (5+ years in managing large programs across domain / function)
- Experience of working on global initiatives/teams in finance or capital markets domain
- Strong experience in Investment Banking across wide range of capital market products
- Must possess strong understanding of translating business requirements in to projects execution
- Should be able to handle Data Management/ Transformation / Remediation Projects
- Must possess complete working knowledge of project management life cycle
- Ability to handle mulitple projects and managers simulataneously
Skills Required:
- Hands-on Data experience (e.g. manipulating data sets in excel, processing data…) and deep exposure of data management disciplines
- Strong Data Analytical skills and quantitative aptitude
- Good functional knowledge of data modelling, relational databases, business intelligence tools
- Excellent conflict management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation (both oral and written) & influencing skills at all levels
- Strong delivery focus backed with good management, communication, leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Strong project documentation experience (Project Proposals, Project Management Plan, Standard Operating Procedures, Project Estimation, Resource Planning etc)
- Self starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
- Effective change management skills. Ability to support & adopt within a changing environment
- Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
- Strong practical experience of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
