Project Title : “Small Indigenous Fishes (SIFs) to Boost Nutritional Security: A Roadmap for developing nutri smart village in Deltaic Sunderbans”
Qualification : Candidates should possess M.FSc. in Fishery Biochemistry/Aquaculture/FRM/Fish Nutrition & Physiology. The candidate with 3years of Bachelor’s degree should have 2 years research experience and NET qualified on the date of interview. Desirables: Practical experience in the data collection, analysis of data, proximate composition of fish etc. and ability to work with standard computer packages to create and maintain database on computer

The Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI) is the oldest premier research institute in the field of inland fisheries research and training in India. Established initially as Central Inland Fisheries Research Station by the Govt. of India at Kolkata in 1947, it assumed the status of an institute and shifted to Barrackpore (North 24-Parganas, West Bengal) in 1959. The Institute came under the administrative control of Indian Council of Agricultural Research in October 1967.
