About Teach For India

Teach For India is a nationwide movement that aims to eliminate the inequity in education in India. Teach For India believes that one day all children will attain an excellent education and aims to build a movement of leaders who will work to eliminate educational inequity.

About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on regular check-ins over the phone to gauge our physical and mental health
2. Work on following up on homework virtually
3. Work on remediation for certain students and subjects virtually as per volunteer skillset

Note: A minimum of 60 hours is needed to be eligible for a TFI volunteer certificate.

Who can apply

Only those candidates can apply who:

1. are available for the work from home job/internship

2. can start the work from home job/internship between 4th May'21 and 8th Jun'21

3. are available for duration of 2 months

4. have relevant skills and interests

Additional Information

We are a vibrant classroom of 42 students and two TFI teachers based in Dharavi, Mumbai. We have just completed our seventh grade and will be beginning the eighth grade in June. Though it has been a challenging year, we have done the best we can to rise in the face of difficulties. We need enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join our journey to make sure we can make the most of our summer break to bridge our learning gap as well as start our next academic year with a positive growth mindset.
