Job Description

To know and implement the Quality Management system of the organization.
To work in different shifts and on public holidays and Sundays as per duty roster.
To know all relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
To follow the process flow in Microbiology & S
To maintain all relevant logs (eg: Patient information, work book, temp. charts, Quality Control, equipment maintenance etc).
To ensure proper collection, storage and transport of samples. To Co-ordinate with other departments for shared samples.
To process all clinical specimens (Microbiology and Serology as per standard operating procedure).
To ensure that all completed sample reports are given for Data Entry.
To report critical values in absence of Department HOD.
To know operation and maintenance of all equipment's in the section.
To prepare in-house media.
To do internal Quality control as per departmental protocol.
To maintain Quality and Technical records.
To check for expired reagents/kits.
To receive Lab supplies.
To send samples and receive results from referral labs.
To decontaminate and dispose Bio-waste as per regulations.
To consult Department HOD when in doubt, regarding results, patient enquiries or any other departmental matters.
To do any other job assigned by the Department HOD from time to time.Roles and Responsibilities
