Job Description
1. Platform skills Wintel/Linux (should be good in atleast one and some basic awareness of the other)
2. Scripting knowledge/experience (Powershell, Perl, VB, Shell, WMI, Rubi (atleast proficient in 2))
3. Virtualization (Vmware, KVM, Hyper-V, OpenStack (atleast any one))
4. Basic networking knowledge
5. Basic storage/SAN concepts
6. Understanding of hardware and consoles.
Capability Definition
Applies Cloud subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Utilize consulting skills including questioning, listening, ideas development, personal rapport and subject matter familiarity to accomplish project tasks. Capable of consulting, designing, testing, implementing, managing capability requirements, and integrating of Cloud solutions into varied environments.

Education and Experience Required
Required:
- Specialist must have minimum of two (2) years of experience with the following technologies:
- Eagerness to program and automate [coding experience]
- Exposure to scripting Java, VBscript, Shell, WMI & PowerShell,python
- Willingness to learn latest technologies and products and can pick up in shorter time frame
- Experience in Operating System installation, configuration & administration in either Wintel or Linux
- Hands on exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Basic understanding of storage and backup technologies
- Knowledgeable in server hardware and datacenter concepts
- Understanding on enterprise tools such as monitoring, CMDB, Service Management (SM, Remedy, Clarify)
- Good communication / Self-starter
- HP C7000 Enclosures Blade Systems Administration and Concepts
- Networking - VLAN's
- HP Server Automation provisioning
- API / Command Line interfaces to automate products

The split was structured so that the old Hewlett-Packard changed its name to HP Inc. and spun off Hewlett Packard Enterprise as a newly-created company. HP Inc., which retained the old HP's personal computer and printing business, retained the old HP's stock-price history and the original NYSE ticker symbol for Hewlett-Packard, while Enterprise trades under its own ticker symbol, 'HPE.' According to notes from 2015, HPE's revenue was slightly less than that of HP Inc.
In May 2016, the company announced it would sell its business services division to one of its competitors, Computer Sciences Corporation in a deal valued at $8.5 billion.[1] The merger of HPE Enterprise Services with CSC is expected to complete by March 2017. Approximately 100,000 current HPE employees are affected.
