Job Description
- As Cloud support engineers you will be responsible for maintaining cloud computing systems.
- Work involves a lot of technical computer programming knowledge and you need to be familiar with computer hardware as well.
- You will be responsible for assessing systems to identify potential weaknesses or problems & determine when something is not working as expected, then you need to take steps to correct the problem.
- Upgrading software and hardware systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent system issues will come under your responsibilities.
As Cloud support engineers you may be directly involved in recovering data that has been lost or compromised when there is a problem with the cloud computing system.
You may also provide technical support to customers who are having issues with the system.
Your responsibilities require you to have a split focus.
While the main objective is to continue the development and improvement of existing systems so that they aren't compromised and so that they work as effectively as possible, cloud support engineers must have documented plans in place for how to deal with emergencies and problems with the systems.
As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will participate in troubleshooting software support issues escalated to Cloud level and monitoring alerts.What can you expect from a life as Cloud Support Engineer?
