Job Description

Purpose of the Job

We are seeking an outgoing and motivated person to develop a supporter network in India. In this role, you will be identifying opportunities, educating contacts about the school project, and guiding them to become a supporter.

The successful candidate will ideally have some experience of communications work or relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement a strategy for developing a support network of individuals, corporates, and trusts in India who become supporters of the Druk Padma Karpo School project

· Take the lead on the preparation of information for organisations, trusts, and individuals, this will include the production of relevant materials such as Powerpoint presentations, social media material, and application forms. Support and guidance will be given from Live To Love and their sister charity Drukpa Trust, based in the UK

· Ensure that networking opportunities with organisations, trusts, and individuals are fully explored, through research and communication

· Ensure that information is well-tailored and that reporting to existing and new supporters is done on time and as required.

· Work closely with colleagues across Drukpa Trust, Live To Love, and the Druk Padma Karpo School to gather and formulate the information required. Build positive and constructive relationships with these internal stakeholders

· Maintain accurate records for correspondence and subsequent donations from organisations, trusts, and individuals on a database, including the management of the administration for grants; reporting requirements; thank you letters, and other related correspondence

· Maintain good relationships with the support network so that we can maximize the outcomes of those relationships. Provide excellent service to maintain a positive reputation for the school

· Work with Drukpa Trust and Live To Love to ensure that accurate records of income and expenditure for organisations, trusts and individuals fundraising are maintained, and to ensure that the various financial reports are reconciled

· Contribute to quarterly reports to ensure accurate and appropriate reporting

· Assist with the preparation of guest lists for events and cultivation events, both virtual and in-person

· Help with the organisation and hosting of cultivation events

Ideal Criteria:Education to degree or equivalent.

Knowledge of communication and relationship management best practices.

Experience in building and maintaining successful relationships with supporters/clients, and of researching and approaching grant-giving organisations.

Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex information at a suitable level to funders. Must be fluent in spoken and written English language.

Excellent interpersonal skills, and confidence in promoting the Druk Padma Karpo School by phone, social media, video-conference, and in person.

Good IT skills, including all Microsoft Office software and knowledge of social media platforms.

Good analytical and research skills.

Well organised with good attention to detail.

Strong self-motivator with an ability to work independently and as a team player, positive and proactive approach to work.

Passionate about enabling high-quality education for both girls and boys up to Matriculation examinations.

Terms and Conditions: Your normal hours of work will be two days per week

Remuneration between INR 14,000 and INR 20,000 per month, depending on the experience

The successful candidate will be on probation for 6 months
