Engineer Internship

Eligibility : 

  • Students pursuing ME/ M.Tech - 2017 with CSE/ EEE/ ECE/ IT with aggregate of 70% and above throughout 10th, 12th, UG and PG.
  • Candidates from IITs, NITs, and top Engineering Colleges will be preferred. 
Objectives : To develop/enhance/support Infineon specific EDA tools and Methodologies in the area of Custom and Semicustom design flows
 
Areas of Responsibility:
Based on the team allocation in DES following possible responsibilities will be assigned to the Internship candidates…
  • Development of Technology Packages for CMOS devices, IO Pad Development..etc.
  • Development & Testing of Reliability Checks for Custom Design or Semicustom designed ICs, including ESD, Leakage Verification, Dummy Metal fill …etc using Cadence Skill or Mentor PERC Languages …
  • Develop/enhancement of Infineon Semicustom sub flows including infrastructure (PERL or Python based Automation) or Cadence Skill (programming language) Automation for Analog productivity improvement.
  • Developing/Supporting Automation tools to Optimize EDA cost tool usage
  • Enhancing Infineon’s Internal tools which includes Model generators, regression automation environment, PCB Components Database (Including web development for PCB board Catalogue…etc)
Specific or Entrepreneurial Knowledge:
  • Good understanding of device physics
  • Strong C/C++ programming and PERL scripting skills
  • Good working knowledge with UNIX & Shell programming
  • Good understanding of layout verification concepts -> Desirable
  • Exposure to Virtuoso full custom design environment -> Desirable
  • Exposure to CAD tools (Virtuoso, Calibre) -> Desirable
  • Understanding of Cadence skill programming -> Desirable
  • Knowledge of EDA tools & ASIC Design Flow -> Desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills -> Must
  • Quick Learner with Strong Interpersonal Skills -> Must

Duration of the internship : 11 months. (starts from 4th July 2016 to 30th June 2017)

Stipend : 22000+ other benefits.
