Job Description
Composition & VFx Artist
Key Responsibilities:
- Concepts on best practicing method for Specific projects
- Be able to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations
- Integration of Lighting, FX, Practical and other elements into Live Action Backgrounds
- Blue Screen/ Green Screen matte extraction
- Compositing in a 3D / 3D Space
- Constructing the final image by combining layers of previously- created materials and assets
- To seamlessly integrate all the layers or elements of a shot, including live-action and computer graphic elements
- Follow production methodologies and develop creative approaches and problem-solving
Minimum Qualifications:
- Should have the talent to make artistic judgements and the technical skills to make practical decisions
- Able to analyse and solve problems and possess extensive knowledge of current compositing software such as AE, Nuke and Fusion.
- VFx design A good eye for composition, colour, lighting and relevant parameters
- Performing all aspects of composite VFx design
- 1 to 5 years’ game/production/animation/VFx industry experience as a compositor and VFx artist
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong traditional art skills are a plus
- A knowledge and interest in photography and practical lighting is helpful
- Critical eye for details of output, and good communication & people management skills, in order to train and mentor others
- Needs to be Pro-active, Team oriented, Adaptable, Able to accept change and to be calm under pressure
- Experience working with a distributed team
- Has a portfolio of composition, animation and/ or at least one output that has been published on any distribution channels or stores, which we can review
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Be able to work with minimum supervision
- Be able to anticipate the Technical needs of other artists so as to streamline their productivity
- Artistic and relevant technical skills (including concept art, illustration and UI design).
