Concept Designer + 3D Artist Jobs in Gurgaon - Tyroo

We’re looking for a Concept Designer (2D) + 3D Artist to join Team Tyroo! Working from our Gurgaon, headquarters, you will utilize your 3D modelling & texturing expertise, as well as your creative skills & proficiency in user-centered design, to help our team create new Snap AR (Augmented Reality) Lens assets and experiences that make millions of people happy around the world.

What you'll do:

• Design and build beautiful, clean 2D illustrations, animations, user-flow mockups & elements (interactive design)
• Create mobile and game optimized 3D models, UVs, Shaders, and Textures for Snap AR Lens
• Create high and low polygon models of 3D characters, clothes, accessories, and props set to specific technical and aesthetic guidelines;
• Ensure a high level of fidelity in terms of modeling, texturing quality, and optimization
• Work closely with our creative strategy lead, developers, and sales team while showing a general understanding of each department
• Problem solve any technical limitations and issues using creative and resource efficient solutions
• Be responsible for meeting project deadlines, setting milestones, and managing your weekly tasks and goals
• Share your knowledge and experience with the team and be part of driving a positive work environment
• The ideal candidate has had experience working across two or three creative contexts — from agencies, internal teams, design studios, freelancing and any other professional backdrop

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Photoshop and After Effects
• Experience concepting and illustrating 2D experience / user-flows
• Interactive design skills (UI, UX, fonts)
• Demonstrated expertise in modeling and texturing via a 3D art portfolio
• Experience working with tools such as Maya, Blender, 3Ds Max, Qlone, Zbrush and Substance Painter or other projection based texturing software
• At least 2 shipped 3D/AR titles
• Overall proficiency in 2D concept design & 3D design, with past experience in either AR / interactive design / gaming / app / website design / digital product design.
• Work samples / portfolio

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in either creative tech / ad tech / social media advertising / B2C advertising / creative agency / design studio / brand advertising. 
• Have a strong understanding of topology in using edge loops for deformation
• Experience in producing blend shapes (facial expressions & lipsync morph targets)
• Strong 2D interactive design + 3D art portfolio, with AR industry experience
• Experience with Lens Studio (https://lensstudio.snapchat.com) or Spark AR is a plus.
• Show proficiency in Unity, Unreal or other major leading game development software
• Ability to work cross-functionally by communicating effectively with production, other departments and teams across Tyroo and Snap
• Be solutions focused, and able to help identify and solve gaps in a production workflow
• Able to work autonomously and complete tasks within tight production schedules
• Highly self-motivated, look for positive outcomes, be well organized, and driven
• Fluency in English
