Job Description
Applications are invited from the Male Indian citizens to fill up 447 vacancies of Constables/Driver & Constables/Driver-Cum-Pump-Operator (Driver for Fire Services) in Central Industrial Security Force on temporary posts.
Constable/Driver – Direct (Current vacancies)
No. of Post : 344 (UR-176, SC-51, ST-25, OBC-92)
Constable/(Driver -Cum -Pump -Operator) (i.e. Driver for fire services) -Direct (Current vacancies)
No. of Post : 103 (UR-54, SC-15, ST-07, OBC-27)
Qualification : The candidate should have passed Matriculation or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board. Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be accompanied with Government of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to Matric/10th class pass for service under Central Government.
Experience : 03 years experience of driving Heavy Motor Vehicle/Transport Vehicle or Light Motor Vehicle and Motor Cycle with gear as on the closing date for receipt of application from candidates i.e. 19-03-2018 including for the candidates of North East region.
Pay scale : Level-3 in pay Matrix (Rs.21,700-69,100/-) (Pre-revised Pay Band – 1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-)
Age : Between 21 and 27 years. The crucial date for determining age limit will be the closing date for receipt of application from the candidates i.e. 19-03-2018 including for the candidates of North East region.
Physical Standards :
a) For General, SC and OBC candidates
Height - 167 Cms
Chest - Minimum 80 Cms with minimum expansion of 05 CMs i.e. 80 – 85
Medical Standard : I The person who seeks appointment for the above posts are liable to undergo medical examination in accordance to revised medical guidelines for recruitment medical examination in CAPFs and AR issued vide MHA UO No. A.VI-1/2014-Rectt (SSB) dated 20th May’2015. He shall fulfill the medical standards as elucidated therein.
i) Weight : Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard. Weight will be recorded at the time of physical measurements but the decision on fitness on account of weight will be taken at the time of medical examination.
ii) Eye sight
1. Visual Acuity unaided (Near Vision)
Better eye - N6
Worse eye - N6
2. Uncorrected visual acuity (Distant Vision)
Better eye - 6/6
Worse eye - 6/6
3. Refraction : Visual correction of any kind is not permitted even by glasses
4. Colour Vision : CP II by ISIHARA. Remarks : Binocular vision is required.
Method of Selection : All candidates applying for the recruitment will be called for the 1st stage of the recruitment which will either be (1) written test or (2) PET/PST, Documentation and trade test. Detailed scrutiny of their eligibility will not be undertaken before PET/PST, documentation and Trade Test. Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidate to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this notice before appearing for the recruitment process.
I) Height Bar Test (HBT) : Candidates those found eligible in height bar test will be put through PET
II) Physical Endurance Test : To ensure smooth, transparency, accuracy and minimize human error, force will exercise its discretion to employ adequate measures and modernized means for conduct of PET event.
III) Physical Standard Test: i) The candidates who are in qualified Height Bar Test and PET will be measured for height, chest and weight by the Board of Officers. The candidates who meet the requirements of physical standard will be allowed to participate in the documentation and trade test. The candidates who do not fulfill the laid down physical standards will be eliminated from recruitment process by giving rejection slip thereof.
IV) Trade Test : (Driving Test) (a)All the candidates who are declared qualified in PET/PST & Documentation will undergo trade test. Trade test will be qualifying in nature
V) Written Test : (i) The written test will be either OMR/Computer based Test. (ii) The question paper will be set to assess the general awareness/general knowledge, knowledge of elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidate in English/Hindi at 10th standard. The questions will be set bilingual in English/Hindi.
Fee payable: Rupees One hundred only (Rs.100/-) payable only through SBI Challan or online payment through Net banking/credit /debit cards of any bank. Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation, as per Government orders.
