National Institute of Smart Government (NISG) invites application for the position Consultant
Job Objective: The objective of this job is to assist the State Government on technological issues related to core infrastructure, MMPs and other e – governance projects.
Location: Gandhinagar
Experience: 4 to 9 year
Essential Criteria: Graduation: BE / B Tech / MCA in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or related field
Desirable Criteria:
a. Post-Graduation: MBA / M. Tech.
b. 4 plus years of experience in IT Projects
c. Experience of at least 2 years in implementation of large IT / eGovernance projects.
d. Experience of understanding consulting assignments in delivering high volume public transactions.
e. Experience in managing a complete life cycle of large-scale IT/eGovernance projects/Service. oriented projects
f. Understanding of Digital Services and Enterprise Architecture
g. Ability to derive potential use cases and solution approach using technology.
h. Understanding of transformative aspects of Business process reengineering
i. Understanding of technology driven use cases particularly in emerging technologies like AI/Machine Learning/Block Chain
j. Experience in advising large enterprise systems and performance parameters.
Salary: Rs.6,00,000 - 11,00,000 P.A.
Key Roles & responsibilities:
- Visualize use cases, apply technology in designing prototype for better understanding in solving public issues and thereafter ability to write RFPs for building large scale systems.
- Write concepts/proposals having out of box creative thinking in bringing change in the Government systems.
- Preparation of RFPs for multi-locations, multi-functional enterprise scale software systems
- Manage/deliver quality user interface, navigational aspect, ease in functionality.
- Provide analytical advisory on software licenses, its impact on financial[S1][S2] implications, open-source options and deployment strategy.
- Assist State in technical evaluations of bids related to e–Governance projects/initiatives.
- Monitor the performance driven parameters for good user experience, services levels and contractual obligations.
- Ensure that individual project level initiatives are interoperable, standardized, scalable and secure across
- various areas of software, hardware, and infrastructure
- Prepare State e-Governance Digital Road map/State e-Governance Policy papers
- In addition to above Primary Responsibilities the incumbent may be assigned any other task from time to time by State IT Secretary/ Head of Nodal Agency/Head SeMT
