Central Agricultural University (CAU) invites application for the position Consultant
Name of the Post: Consultant on Contractual Basis
Number of Vacancies: 01 (One)
Period of Contract: 06 (Six) months. The contract can be terminated by either side at any time, by giving one month's notice. The University can terminate the contract immediately, by paying one month's agreed remuneration in lieu of the notice period.
Job Location and nature of job:
i. NEC Farm, Central Agricultural University, Lamphelpat, Imphal.
ii. Supervision on development and maintenance of NEC, Farm,
Qualifications/ Essential Criteria:
i. Applicant should be an Indian national.
ii. PhD in Horticulture/Aquaculture/Livestock Production Management. Experience of working in Research Farm (at least 8 year) not below the rank of Farm Manager in Pay Level-10.
Remuneration & Entitlements: Remuneration of Rs. 55,000/- per month will be paid and other service conditions will be as per existing rules of the University for contract appointment.

The Central Agricultural University has been established by an act of Parliament, the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992 (No.40 of 1992). The Act came into effect on 26th January, 1993 with the issue of notification by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Govt. of India. The University became functional with the joining of first Vice-Chancellor on 13th September, 1993. The jurisdiction of the University extends to six North-Eastern Hill States viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Sikkim and Tripura, with headquarters at Imphal in Manipur.
