Consultant / Junior Project Consultant

1. Consultant - Category ‘C’ / 01 

Pay Scale: Rs.1,00,000/- p.m

Qualification: Master degree in biological science/Environmental Science or related fields or Ph. D from a recognized University in the related subjects having 10-15 years experience in the Research / Academic / Government institutions / Organizations in the field of Environmental Management.

Experience in environmental consulting preferably worked with developmental projects and compliance assessment. OR Retired Government employees with Grade pay of Rs. 8700/- having more than 10-15 years’ experience in the area of Environmental Management specially related to developmental projects, environmental consulting, compliance assessment.

Desirable :  Excellent report writing skills with reference to the specific projects and knowledge of working with Computer. 

2. Junior Project Consultant
/01

Pay Scale:  50,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)

Qualification: First class B. Tech./M. Tech. with specialization in Environmental Engineering/ Mining Engineering having more than 05 years experience in the relevant field. Knowledge of GIS and Computer application.

Desirable :  Willingness to travel including field work to collect data, carryout desk based research, interpretation of data and report writing. 

Age and T&C of Engagement: The maximum age limit for Consultant Category ‘C’ shall be 65 years.

The Government of Mysore had set up a Forest Research Laboratory (FRL) at Bangalore in 1938. In the initial years, work was carried out mainly on properties and uses of different timber species, essential oils, other non-wood forest products and protection of wood and trees from pests and diseases. In 1956, this laboratory was organised as a regional centre of Forest Research Institute and Colleges, Dehra Dun. In 1977, Sandal Research Centre was set up to undertake research on wide-ranging aspects of genetics, silviculture and management of sandal, a valuable tree well distributed all over Southern India.
