Project Scientist C (Non-Medical) (Approach Coordinator)

Name of the Project :  “Model District for Public Health Preparedness, Surveillance and Response: Multi-Strategic Integrated Approach in Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, India)

Qualification  :  1st Class Master Degree (MPH/M.Sc./ MAE) in Epidemiology / Public Health from a recognized university with 4 years’ experience. Qualification  :  M.D. in Preventive and Social Medicine or Microbiology with one year relevant experience or MPH Degree with 2 years relevant experience OR M.B.B.S Degree with 4 years experience in the area of Public Health/ Preventive and Social medicine / Epidemiology / Microbiology after obtaining MBBS Degree. Non-Medical B.V.Sc & AH / BDS Degree recognized by VCI / DCI with five (5) years’ experience in Public Health/Epidemiology/ Microbiology after B.V.Sc & AH / BDS OR 1 st Class Master Degree in Biostatistics with 4 years experience in the relevant area OR 2 nd Class Master Degree in Biostatistics + PhD with 4 years experience in the relevant area

Desirable :  a) A Doctorate in Preventive and Social Medicine/ Microbiology / Epidemiology / Veterinary Public Health / Biostatistics / Epidemiology from a recognized University/ Institute b) Proven experience in scientific writing communication as evidenced by publications in peer reviewed Pubmed indexed journals as primary or corresponding author c) Additional Post Doctoral Research/ teaching experience in above subjects in recognized institute(s) d) Working Knowledge of Statistical Packages like SPSS, R and spread sheets such as MS Excel, knowledge of Redcap

Emoluments  : 

Medical: Consolidated salary of Rs. 64000/- + HRA

Non Medical: Consolidated salary of Rs. 51000/- + HRA

Name of the Project :  Impact of measles rubella (MR) vaccination campaign on population immunity in India (IMRVI) study

Qualification  :  First class Master’s degree in Statistics/Bio statistics/Public Health/Epidemiology from a recognized university with Two (2) years R&D/ teaching experience in the relevant subject. Desirable : Knowledge of data handling, analysis and interpretation, report writing. Knowledge of Computer Application. Use of Statistical packages in handling large volume of Health Data
