Responsibilities include:

·         Story development for monthly sections and feature articles

·         Researching, reporting and writing assigned magazine sections

·         Copyediting through all stages of the editorial process, according to ‘Oxford Style’ and established house style

·         Act as web editor over SAUDAWALA.COM, which includes managing the upload of print stories onto the web, posting fresh weekly content to the site, writing as needed for e-newsletters and developing other multi-media extras such as blogs regularly, as well as overseeing social media posts promoting SAUDAWALA’s online content and editorial outreach

·         Manage press cycle processes, including second-round edit checks; sending story previews to key contacts and clients; and acting as “Oxford Style” and “house style” editor

·         Copywriting as needed, including advertorials and special advertising sections

·         Miscellaneous proofreading of ad copy or event promotional materials for marketing and sales

·         Represent SAUDAWALA at company and industry events

·         Responsible for all content – online and offline

·         Meeting / speaking to clients for advertorials

 Requirements & Qualifications:

·         1-2 years experience working in a fast-paced team-driven environment desired

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Knowledge about Delhi and its neighborhoods

·         Degree in Journalism, Communications, PR or English preferred

·         Experience at a magazine or newspaper preferred

·         Experience in multimedia content creation, including video, podcast and overall digital content management preferred

·         Must display an impressive track record of meeting deadlines

·         Strong work ethic and attention to detail a must

·         Should be able to work independently and handle pressure
