Project: 'National Innovations in Climate Resilient Agriculture' (NICRA),
Qualification : B.Tech in Instrumentation . B. Tech (Electronics & Instrumentation) . B. Tech (Electrical & Instrumentation)
Desired Educational Qualification: Instrumentation engineers must hold at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, inrelated field that is Instrumentation engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electrical and Instrumentation and or computer engineering and Instrumentation.
Desired Skills: All Instrumentation engineers must have a strong aptitude for signals, communication and Instrumentation. Excellent problem solving skills and an ability to think outside the box are essential, since many day to day needs depend upon to solve uniquely challenging problems. As an instrumentation engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance and installation of the gadgets and contraptions which are used to manage and regulate engineering processes and systems in CRIDA. This also includes installing new systems and maintaining all devices which will be used to control, monitor and regulate industrial processes and operations. This may involve aspects of both software engineering and hardware engineering.

Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA) at Hyderabad in 1985 to embark upon lead and strategic research in dryland agriculture leaving location/region specific problems and their solutions to AICRPDA. The organizational set-up of CRIDA is shown below. With the launching of the National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP) by the Council during the year 1998, CRIDA was further strengthened with the responsibility of planning and coordinating research on a production system mode under the rainfed agro-eco system.
