Job Description
- Greet the patient/relatives/guest in a polite manner.
- To answer queries and provide information to visitors & patient coming at the counter or on telephone, determine their needs and guide them accordingly
- To understand and apply knowledge of medical terminology to make accurate bill in terms of correct entry
- To coordinate with all the departments for smooth functioning of reception/OPD
- To follow protocol strictly as per JCI
- To admit patients as soon as possible to avoid delay and reduce waiting timeTo arrange PCA to drop patients to room/ ward/OPD
- To make monthly data and submit it periodically
- To courier/mail patient report whenever patient gives request
- To exercise high degree of tact and poise and to overcome language barriers especially when dealing with international patients.
- Process documents for cashless patients
- Guide patients on policies/documentation and terms and conditions.
- Inform patients/relatives about various packages available at best rates.
- Carry out close coordination with billing department after taking final approval.
- Deal with patients and relatives in a cordial and amicable manner.
- Provide guidelines regarding reimbursement claim for those who do not have cashless facility.
- Fill up reimbursement claim form and attend to queries pertaining to reimbursement.
- To submit credit bills regularly
- To think independently and exercise ones own judgment in determining actions during emergencies and challenging situations. For E.g. If a patient needs emergency attention, the staff should sense that and send the patient immediately to EMR
- To have sympathetic approach towards patients/relatives at all times
- Any other jobs assigned by superior due to exigencies of work.
