Job Description - Data Science Product Manager

This role is for you if you are a person with an ability to identify problems and come up with well thought through solutions. You should be comfortable in working hands with large amounts of data data cut across 1000s of dimensions at varying levels of usability.

What you would do

Data Leadership

• Gather product requirements from both internal and external sources
• Develop data analytics and modeling use cases to solve complex business problems
• Develop vision and product roadmap for potential user experience enhancements and product differentiation that may be enabled by Data Science APIs and other data driven strategies such as personalization
• Articulate problems and data driven solutions to obtain business buy in
• Be the inhouse data science expert and the evangelist to enhance the awareness and understanding of AI/ML among non data science colleagues

Hands on Tech

• Develop prototypes using sample data sets and spin up quick and dirty models
• Rapidly iterate on multiple feature engineering and modelling approaches to solve stated business problem
• Support engineering team to develop data pipelines and scalable solutions that integrate data science models
• Monitor model performance and perform tasks needed to keep model fresh and adequately retrained
• Support teams on understanding of the business using data analytics and visualization

What skills you will have

• At least 5 years dealing with data science and product management
• At least 3 years of hands on experience in developing models in areas like marketing, predictive analytics, App personalization, clinical analytics, etc.
• Have in depth understanding of state of the art high performance modelling approaches and techniques
• Have proficiency in coding languages such as R, Python and data science libraries
• Have hands on experience with data science platforms such as DataRobot, Dataiku, H2O, etc
• Have high proficiency in SQL
• Be proficient in using BI and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik etc
• Experience in working on data science projects from ideation stages to deployment and scaling to millions of users
• Have an educational background in Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• Demonstrable proficiency status on open platforms like Kaggle would be a plus
