Data Scientist job opportunities in  Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi

Required:PhD or similar qualification in a quantitative data science discipline . Degree with a quantitative focus (economics, computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, statistics or related).  Strong understanding of statistical methods, data analysis, Interpretation & optimization. 2+ years of work experience in health care/government sectors . Experience as an analyst or in an analytical role. PhD work can be substituted for experience.

Experience in public health is a plus but not necessary , Experience in dealing with large scale data (NFHS, DLHS, AHS and DHS etc.  Experience in one or more Statistical software (STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, etc.) ,Experience working with advanced statistical analysis (regression, Bayesian, predictive analytics, hypothesis testing,Experience designing data models and using natural language processing algorithms (sentiment analysis, topic segmentation, automatic summarization, etc.). Ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively, Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to adjust approach to effectively interact at all organizational and technical levels ,Good knowledge of basic statistical methods and should possess data analysis skills. Able to work and communicate results and concepts to multidisciplinary project teams.

Desirable: Design and/or supervise implementation of data management solutions in collaborationwith healthcare experts. Experience of handling healthcare data would be a plus. Working knowledge of mathematical models & techniques and how to apply them on datasets. 

Pay Scale 75,000 – 85,000 p.m.
