This position is for team responsible for Planning Forecasting for OPTUM. Planning forecasting leverages best in class forecasting techniques like ARIMAX, UCM, ARCH/GARCH ect. on Big Data Platform. Team has also developed forecasting tool catering to dynamic and rapid requirements from business operations. Team develops and maintains huge number of forecast series with an accuracy of 90%.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain forecasting models using mathematical and statistical techniques using python and R
• Use advanced ML techniques to improve forecasting accuracy
• Proactively identify and evaluate business drivers and key metrics to maintain and improve accuracy of forecasts
• Have a natural curiosity to understand 'why' performance is favorable or unfavorable and will take a proactive role in problem-solving
• Work closely with Solution. Architect throughout the solution development lifecycle, from design to implementation
• Engage in client communications for all important functions including data understanding/exploration, strategizing solutions, etc.
• Acquire understanding of US Healthcare domain
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Exposure to Python and R, R Shiny
• Strong analytical skills, with emphasis on advanced forecasting techniques (like ML Techniques)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, to handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn new software applications
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills
