Your Role and Responsibilities
Who you are:

As a DBA, you will manage and support applications

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for maintenance and improvement of critical IBM internal applications.
• Continued focus on improving the applications.

• You’ll learn directly from SMEs in the field
• You’ll have the opportunity to work in many different areas to figure out what really excites you

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Linux (for example: Centos, Redhat) or AIX.
• Working knowledge on Shell scripts programming.
• Hands on experience on DB2 database management, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Hands on experience on DB2 SQL replication setup, change and troubleshooting.
• Hands on experience on DB2 HADR with TSA setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of database design.
• Working knowledge of SQL programming.
• Ability to independently analyses database change requirements based on a given specification and come up with a sound database physical design.
• Demonstrated communication skills in a customer/stakeholder facing environment.
• Must be self-directed, resilient and creative.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Hands on experience on db2audit, db2 workload manager and DB2 SSL setup.
• Hands on experience on other NoSQL databases like Solr, MongoDB
• Hands on experience on IBM data model design tool: InfoSphere Data Architect.
• Familiar with Java programming and JDBC.
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
